London, UK, [11 November 2024] Bridge Specialty Group, a global wholesale and specialty insurance brokerage, has announced plans to unify its London-based businesses Lonmar Global Risks, Decus Insurance Brokers and BdB under Bridge Specialty International.

Bridge Specialty International will launch in December with the rebranding of Lonmar. Decus will integrate into Bridge Specialty International in 2025, with the U.K-regulated entities of BdB following.

By consolidating the strengths of Lonmar, Decus, and BdB, Bridge Specialty International will be able to better leverage its specialisms across a wide range of sectors, with the goal of enhancing access to capacity for its customers, producers and coverholders. This new unified brand and operating model will create a strong base from which to expand its capabilities and international presence.

Tim Coles, Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Specialty International, said: “Our vision is to create a new force in the London and international markets. By integrating our three London-based businesses, we are harnessing our collective strengths and building a strong platform from which to achieve this.”

“While London and Europe are our priority focus, we are also actively growing our reach in other European and Asian markets.”

Lonmar, in its current form, was created in 2018 through the merger of Lonmar Global Risks and Ropner Insurance Services. It serves a global customer base in over 70 countries, offering access to specialist underwriters and insurance capacity in London and other key international markets.

Decus was established in 2008 and offers solutions across a wide range of risks, with a strong focus on the U.S. market. BdB was founded in 1993 and specialises in providing London market capacity to its underwriting operations and coverholders in key European markets, including France, Italy and Belgium.

Tim Coles continued: “Attracting top talent from the market to complement and build out current and future capabilities will be key to our future expansion. Our collaborative culture, ability to take a long-term strategic view, and momentum across our unified group make us an extremely attractive proposition for anyone who wants to make a difference.”
