The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) requires Chartered Surveyors to buy Professional Indemnity insurance, which provides a high level of cover against claims for civil liability arising in the course of professional practice. Certain minimum limits of indemnity are also required, depending on the income of the Insured.
LONMAR Professions have an experienced team that have dealt with a variety of large firms including multi-disciplinary practices, leading auctioneers, estate agents, surveyors, valuers and property management companies. We recognise the current challenging insurance environment for Chartered Surveyors with exposure to valuation claims and have a number of personnel who have experienced the similarly tough market environments between 1986/87, 1989/92 and 2001/02, so are ideally positioned to chart you through this difficult environment
Any insurance arranged by LONMAR Professions will satisfy the Professional Indemnity requirements of the RICS (and other property and construction professional bodies) as well as providing significant additional benefits. The cover provided by LONMAR Professions would be placed with RICS Approved Insurers and would automatically protect you against any liability arising from;
- Professional Negligence
- Dishonesty
- Employee Infidelity
- Cyber Liability
- Ombudsman Awards
- Court Attendance Expenses
- Adjudication Awards
- Breach of Intellectual Property Rights
- Duties assumed under Collateral Warranties
Most important of all, in the event of a claim you can be sure of a prompt, sympathetic and supportive response from our in-house claims teams.
In addition to Professional Indemnity insurance, LONMAR Professions are also able to provide quotations for the following classes of insurance to protect you and your business.

LONMAR Professions are a truly independent broker. We have access to all RICS approved insures and are not tied to any one insurer, which means we operate in your interests rather than those of the insurers.
